Doug Nielsen is originally from Monroe, LA. He went to Sterlington High School and graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe earning his B.S. in Psychology. He then went to LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center where he graduated with his Juris Doctorate in May 2017. Before law school, he was the managing partner at Anytime Fitness in Clinton, MS and North Little Rock, AR. His family owns both locations. During law school, Doug clerked for Fenet Treadway Gaudin in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Before he became part of the Broussard & Hart team he clerked for Commissioner Quintillis Lawrence at Louisiana’s 19th Judicial District Court.
He also serves on the ULM Alumni Board of Directors. He is an avid and lifelong fan of his alma mater, ULM. In the past, Doug has enjoyed distance running and has ran 7 half marathons and 1 full marathon. He also enjoys fishing and hunting.
