Causes of a Birth Injury
There are many possible causes, some avoidable and some not. Preventable birth injuries are often caused by a failure to notice a dangerous infection in the mother, or by being too rough with the baby during delivery and injuring their limbs or head.
Some birth injuries are minor and heal on their own or with minor treatment. Others, however, can cause permanent harm.
